Suggestions inbox

The Inbox page lists every game viewers have suggested to your boards that is waiting on your decision. You can accept a game to put it on your board, reject it, or reject it and blacklist it.

Read the inbox

The page is titled Suggestion Inbox. A number badge shows how many suggestions are waiting. The Inbox item in the dashboard menu shows a count of suggestions that arrived since you last opened the page. That count clears when you visit.

Each card shows:

• The board it was suggested to.
• The game, linked to its page.
• Who suggested it, with "(n submitters)" when more than one viewer suggested it, and the date of the first suggestion.
• A Passed on n× before badge when you have rejected this game on this board before.

Cards are grouped by board, with the newest suggestion first. When several viewers suggest the same game to the same board, they share one card. A viewer can suggest a game to a board only once while it is pending.

Only you see who suggested what.

Accept

Select Accept. NextQuest puts the game in the board's intake section. Every viewer who suggested it gets an upvote on the game, and each one is notified that you accepted. Their suggestion slot frees up.

Accepting can fail, and the card stays in the inbox when it does:

• The board has no intake section. Choose one in Intake on the Boards, lanes and sections page, then try again.
• The game is already on that board.
• The game is no longer in the catalogue. The suggestion stays until the game returns.

Reject

Select Reject to pass on a game for that board. Each viewer who suggested it is notified that you passed on it. Their suggestion slot frees up.

A rejected game can be suggested to that board again after your re-suggest wait. If a viewer tries sooner, they see "This game was passed on recently" with the date they can try again. After the wait:

• The suggestion comes back to your inbox with only the new viewer on it.
• The Passed on n× before badge keeps counting your earlier rejections.

Set the re-suggest wait

1. Open Settings.
2. Under Suggestions, set Re-suggest wait.
3. Select Save.

The value is in days, from 0 to 365. The default is 0, which allows a viewer to suggest the game again at once. The wait is counted from the day you rejected it, and it applies to every board you have.

Blacklist

Select Blacklist to reject a game and stop anyone suggesting it. The button's tooltip says it rejects the game and stops it being suggested on any of your boards.

It does three things:

• Rejects this suggestion.
• Rejects any other pending suggestions for the same game on your other boards.
• Adds the game to your blacklist.

To undo it later, or to see the list, go to Blacklist.

Suggestion slots

Each viewer can have a limited number of suggestions waiting at once. A slot opens when you accept or reject one of their suggestions. Set the limits per viewer type in Audience permissions.

Get notified

A new suggestion adds an entry to the Board tab of the notification bell. You can also turn on push notifications to get it on your phone or desktop. See Notifications and push.
