Favourite streamers

How to favourite a streamer, manage your favourites, and suggest a game to a favourite straight from a game page.

A favourite is a private bookmark of a streamer on NextQuest. It lets you suggest a game to that streamer from the game's own page, and it shows you where a game sits on your favourites' boards.

Only you can see your favourites. Streamers never see who favourited them, there is no public count, and nobody gets a notification. You need to be signed in. See Sign in with Twitch.

Favourite a streamer

Select the heart in one of two places:

  • On a streamer's board. Open the action button and select Favourite. It turns into Favourited. Select it again to remove the favourite.
  • In search. On the Streamers tab, select the heart on a streamer's row. Selecting the heart does not open the board.

A short message confirms each change. When you remove a favourite, the message has an Undo button.

If you are signed out, the board's action button reads Log in to favourite. After you sign in, select the heart again. NextQuest does not add the favourite for you.

You can only favourite streamers with a NextQuest account. Twitch channels marked Not on NextQuest in search have no heart. You cannot favourite yourself. There is no limit on how many streamers you can favourite.

Your favourites page

Open the account menu in the header and select Favourites, or go to nextquest.app/favourites.

  • Your favourites are listed alphabetically.
  • Each card shows the streamer's active public board. If they have none right now, it reads No active board. The favourite stays. It comes back to life when they open a board again.
  • Select a name to open that streamer's page.
  • Select the heart to remove the favourite. Select Undo in the message to put it back.

Suggest a game from its page

  1. Open a game page. See Game and company pages.
  2. Open the action button and select Suggest to a favourite. The picker opens with your favourites.
  3. Select the streamer you want to send the game to. Nothing is sent yet.
  4. Select Send suggestion.

The suggestion goes to the streamer's active public board, exactly as if you had suggested it from that board. The same rules apply: who can suggest, your suggestion slots, the re-suggest wait, and the blacklist. See Suggesting a game.

Each favourite in the picker shows how many of your suggestion slots you have used, for example 2 of 5 suggestions used. Favourites that cannot take the game right now are listed under Can't take it right now, with the reason:

Reason What it means
Followers only The streamer takes suggestions from followers only.
Subs only The streamer takes suggestions from subscribers only.
Not allowed to suggest The streamer's suggestion setting blocks you.
Suggestion limit reached All your suggestion slots with this streamer are in use.
Suggest again from The streamer passed on this game recently. The re-suggest wait ends on that date.
Already suggested, awaiting review You already suggested this game to this streamer.
Already on this board The game is already on the streamer's board.
Suggestions are closed The board has no intake section.
Not taking this game The streamer blacklisted the game.
Not taking adult games The streamer blocks adult games and IGDB tags this one as adult.
No public board right now The streamer has no active public board.

No favourites yet

With no favourites, the picker offers Find streamers. It opens a streamer search inside the picker, so you keep the game in hand. Select a heart to favourite someone, then select Back to suggestions. They now show up in the list.

The same search is under Find a streamer not on this list whenever the picker is open.

Board status on game pages

When you are signed in, a game page shows On your favourites' boards if the game sits on the public board of a streamer you favourited. Each entry shows the streamer, the section, and the net votes. Select it to open the board. See Game and company pages › Board status.

Limits

You can change favourites up to 30 times per minute and open the picker up to 20 times per minute. See Limits and defaults.
